Frequently Asked Questions

$150 per 50-minute session. Intakes (First-time appointments) are also $150 for 50 minutes.

Insurance companies do not cover Couples Therapy. Individual therapy sometimes is covered but is unpredictable and inconsistent. For these reasons, we do not bill insurance companies directly.

We do however provide Superbills for reimbursement. Simply put, you pay for your session, we send you a Superbill that you forward to your insurance company, and if they deem the therapy as covered, they will reimburse you.

Your therapist is among the best in the state of Utah and the therapy they provide is in high demand. Unfortunately, too many clients have no-showed their appointments which took away the opportunity from another person or couple who could have benefited from that hour of treatment.

To ensure clients follow through on their appointment, we ask they show their commitment to the therapy process by providing their credit card. You can cancel your appointment up to 24 hours before your scheduled time. If you do not cancel, you will be charged for the session you no-showed. This creates mutual trust, commitment, and accountability.

Yes, absolutely! We use secure encrypted video-conferencing as a virtual option. You can choose to schedule a virtual appointment for any reason. Please know that we especially encourage clients who have been sick to opt into a virtual appointment while they are recovering. You can change your in-person appointment to a virtual appointment last minute (Late-Cancellation Policy does not apply to changing the therapy medium).

Virtual Therapy has been proven to be as effective as In-Person Therapy. Feel free to utilize this flexible option.

Please send us a text or give us a call at least 24 hours before your session to 385-484-8654. If you are feeling sick, a virtual appointment can be provided instead. Any appointment canceled less than 24 hours will be billed for the session and automatically charged to the credit card you put on file. No-shows are subject to being billed and the therapist may choose to terminate treatment. We understand emergencies happen– so please let us know as soon as possible if you need to reschedule your appointment.

This is a case-by-case decision that will need to be discussed with your therapist. Certain parameters follow these unique circumstances. Your therapist cannot meet with you if your individual therapy goals conflict with your couple’s goals. Therapists are not secret-keepers when meeting with couples/individuals simultaneously. They may disclose what was shared individually if relevant to the couples’ therapy process and treatment. It is important for your therapist to maintain a balanced rapport with both you and your partner. If you have questions, please consult your therapist.

Have A Question?

What Other Mental Health Professionals Are Saying
Clarissa is a kind and competent therapist. It was a pleasure to collaborate with her when working together last year. She has the kind of warm, open, and accepting personality needed to provide a client with a safe space to be vulnerable in session.
I have had the chance to work with and know Clarissa for many years. She is both personable and professional. Her knowledge, passion, and temperament make her an excellent clinician.
